Our policies and procedures have been designed with you in mindsourced from a team of public health and medical professionals, and in cooperation with Yoga Alliance and yoga studio colleagues from around Virginia and across the country.

IN STUDIO GUIDELINES 

  1. Follow indicators for healthy physical distancing

  2. Utilize the hand sanitizer stations

  3. Wear a face covering/mask to enter, exit, and move about the studio

  4. Trust us to honor Medical Mask Exemption cards issued under the ADA

  5. Use coughing and sneezing etiquette

  6. Honor the safety protocols

 

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

  • Preregister for your session with our online BOOK A CLASS

  • Confirm your health survey is up-to-date

  • Come dressed to participate

  • Anticipate to be individually released after class has ended

  • Bring your own mat (props if desired)

  • Arrive to the studio 10-15 minutes before class

  • Prepare to leave non-essentials for class in your carincluding your cell phone

  • Follow the 3-STEP contactless check-in:

         1. Check In   

         2. Confirm Health Survey   

         3. Acquire mat assignment

  • Remove your shoes 

 

DURING YOUR SESSION

  • Enter the practice room

  • Place your shoes in your designated locker

  • Locate your assigned practice spot

  • Roll out your mat

  • Arrange your practice spot

  • If desired, remove your face covering/mask

  • Expect instructors to teach from a fixed location

  • Trust instructors will not do hands-on adjustments

  • At end of class, stay on your mat until individually released

  • If you prematurely leave class, use the exit door to the outside

 

AFTER YOUR SESSION

  • Understand exit doors lead you outside the studio

  • If needed, use the front door entrance to reenter the studio 

  • Count on us to sanitize the studio and practice rooms between classes

WHAT IS WellnessLiving?

WellnessLiving is an All-In-One Online Solution for Your Client Profile & Needs

This is the client app, ACHIEVE. It is a great way to sign up, reserve your spot in class ahead of time, and access all classes, workshops, & events.

 

It is free for iPhone and Android.

 

Download through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR CLASS?

Pre-Register for Class from Website or the ACHIEVE App

  • Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing—yoga/gym clothes

  • Wear layers—good idea as you warm the body & cool it down

  • Remove shoes outside the practice rooms & place in your assigned locker. Socks may be worn in the studio; however, we recommend you practice in bare feet

  • Bring your own yoga mat & if desired, bring your own props

  • Bring water bottle to stay hydrated

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before class. Doors open 15 minutes before class starts. You set the tone for your practice—give yourself time to settle in

  • Consider coming to class on an empty stomach or eat a light snack

Every student who walks through our doors has a different body & a different life story. All that is expected is a willingness & openness to try yoga—and the promise you will listen to your own body. Consistency is key in building a solid foundation.  

 

It truly does not matter what you “look like” when practicing yoga—only what you are feeling. We encourage you to listen to how you feel & modify your poses—let yoga feel good in your body & you'll garner the benefits.

WHAT CLASS SHOULD I TAKE FIRST?

Body Awareness is Key to Your Yoga Journey

Most classes at our studio can accommodate all levels. New students are encouraged to join any class that fits into their schedule. You will see all levels, bodies, & personalities in each class.

 

It is okay if you are not familiar with all the poses—do what your body will allow. Yoga should never be painful! Yoga can be challenging but never judgmental. Pay attention to your body & your breath. From here, you will find benefits regardless of your strength & flexibility.

 

We encourage you to build a regular practice, learn to maintain a flowing breath, & grow on small, gradual transformations as you progress.
