What is Vinyasa Yoga?

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

"Inhale. Move. Exhale. Observe."

That's the regular cue you hear in a Vinyasa Yoga class as you move from pose to pose with each breath.

When you practice Vinyasa Yoga, the key is to focus on how you inhale and exhale as you move from one posture to the next.

Vinyasa serves as an "antidote" to sedentary lifestyles— the dreaded stiff muscles and discomfort. The continuous movements or "flow" of Vinyasa helps you stretch and strengthen each muscle.

With Vinyasa, you create a "container" for your movements and experiences in life—it improves the physical strength, flexibility, and vitality of the body and develops a state of balance and stillness in the mind.

Vinyasa is a full body experience.
